Create Web 2.0 text in Photoshop

First, launch Photoshop. Then do this:
  1. Start a new file. File>New...
  2. Select the text tool and type something on the canvas
  3. Now you have a layer with text on it. Duplicate it so that you have two layers with the same text.
  4. Select one of the layers then go to Edit>Transform>Rotate 180. Then Edit>Transform>Flip Horizontal.
  5. Then move the text below the other text.
  6. Click on the quick mask button on the layer pallete.
  7. Click the gradient button on the toolbar and then put a gradient over the lower layer.
Yes, I realize this is the worst tutorial known to man. I will post another one soon with pictures and more detail.
