Install k9copy on Fedora 12

Ok so obviously I'm still sitting here setting up Fedora 12. Well I had some dependency issues trying to install k9copy. Anyway, if anyone else out there is having trouble just do this:

# su root
# rpm -ivh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-stable.noarch.rpm
# yum install k9copy

Google Chrome 5.0.375.38 (beta) extensions crashing on Fedora 12

Just a few minutes ago I installed Google Chrome on Fedora 12. I started configuring it, adding extensions, etc. So I installed the "Google Mail Checker Plus" extension. Everytime I launched Chrome, it crashed and displayed an annoying error bar. And when it crashes like that, it doesn't show up on the extensions options page. So here's how to remove it. Just go to the directory that Google extensions are stored in and either wipe it all out or just find the problem one and delete it. I chose to wipe out the whole folder and reinstall all the extensions.

Here is the location:
/home/{username}/.config/google-chrome/Default/Extensions

If you wipe out the contents of the directory, then you can launch Chrome and all the problem stuff shows up on the extensions options page. From there you can cleanly uninstall. Anyway, I wrote this real quick but you get the idea.

Stevens Creek Trail

So it turns out the Stevens Creek Trail is right around the corner from where I live. People go there to walk, bike, run, etc. etc. It's a nice area. You can see NASA and Moffett Field from there. Here is a Google My Map of what I did today.

Logitech TouchMouse for iPhone (Windows)

So earlier today, I downloaded the Logitech TouchMouse iPhone app. First I installed the app, then I installed the Logitech Tough Mouse Server on Windows 7. But the annoying thing? It didn't work. Why? Because of the built in Windows firewall. Thing is, the instructions are really vague. So I'm here to tell you how to make this work. In Windows 7 (or Vista), click on Start and type the word "Firewall". You will see a list of things come up. Click on the one that says, "Allow a program through the Windows Firewall". You'll notice everything is grayed out. So at the window, click the "Change Settings" button. This ungrays everything and allows you to make changes. Scroll down to the "Logitech" exception and make sure both check boxes are checked. Then just click ok. It should all work after that. See the below picture for reference.

iPhone Network Interface Toggles

iPhone 3GS connects wirelessly to networks in several ways. It connects over Edge, 3G and WiFi. Depending on your situation, sometimes you might want to turn on 3G and turn off WiFi. Or vice versa. If you leave 3G and WiFi on all the time, then you'll soon notice that the battery won't last long. This is really not such a problem because you can just go into settings to turn these items on or off as needed. But after doing that a few times, you'll notice that it's a royal pain.

I've been thinking about this for a long time. Could an app be written that could do this? Could hard buttons be used for toggles? No, the answer is easy and so far I haven't seen anybody else write about this so I figured I would here. Apple should make it so that you can simply touch the icons to toggle them on or off. Simple as that. Take a look at the animation below.
